End of the year checklist

Hi Friends!

This is my absolute favorite time of year!  Seeing Summer break in the horizon is nice, but the true reason that I love this time of year is because I love reflecting on my classroom practice and environment.  Not to mention I get to see how much my first graders have grown and matured and it's just a really fun time of year!  The difference between a good teacher and a great teacher, in my opinion, is their ability to reflect and improve.  The world of education is ever-changing, so teachers must be that way too!  Call me crazy, but I love to hit the reset button and get ready for my next class.  I have spent countless hours each summer getting my classroom and curriculum "just right,"  but I am determined to get as much done as I can before summer begins this year.  Something about marking things off of a checklist gives me a real sense of satisfaction, it's all about the scribble, I add things that I've already done just so I can scribble them off.  Am I the only one who does this??  I know, I know, I need therapy...I'll add that to my to-do list asap! (ha)  Since I know I can't be the only one who loves a nice, simple to-do list, I've included one below.  Feel free to click and print!  Just save the image below to your desk top, open it, and select print!

See you soon friends!
